Concert Works
In 2020, Danna completed her Bachelor of Music (Honours) at The University of Melbourne, where she majored in Composition and studied under critically-acclaimed Australian composer Elliott Gyger.
With influences including Stravinsky, Ravel, Vaughan Williams, John Powell, and Joe Hisaishi, Danna enjoys exploring modality and takes delight in creating playful textural interactions between performers. In 2021, she was commissioned by the Victorian Youth Symphony Orchestra to compose "Minigames", a short symphonic showpiece. Prior to that, Danna was commissioned by The University of Melbourne in 2019 to compose "Riddle", an original work for string orchestra, as part of the First Commissions project. Danna is currently in the process of reworking her piano trio "Stallion" and choral piece "Gulliver" for recording. |
