Pekoe (2014 - 2023)

I created my singer-songwriter project Pekoe in 2014 when I was 16. Pekoe's style blended pop and folk with cinematic orchestration to tell stories imbued with whimsical imagery and optimism.
In 2015, Pekoe's audience grew exponentially to include listeners from the US, Canada, and Southeast Asia following my cover of Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" going viral on Tumblr. Pekoe has since amassed over one million* lifetime Spotify listeners and continues to reach a predominantly international audience through the internet. I've now outgrown Pekoe's style and am writing songs under my name Danna. Pekoe is primarily archived on YouTube with free downloads available on SoundCloud. *Songs have been removed from Spotify and subsequently re-uploaded due to listener requests. Statistics may now vary on the platform. |
